The Lincoln Memorial on a snowy February afternoon.

Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC. February, 2013.

Kate and I walked over to the Lincoln Memorial, and we got there just as it started to snow. It was quite pretty; this is my first real winter in the United States, and I can already honestly say winter is my favorite season. After 29 years of living in tropical heat, I can’t get enough of the cold and the snow.

I took these photos with my Nikon D7000. I rarely use the built-in flash, but when it snows, using it at low power simply to light up the snowflakes adds a nice extra touch to an already pleasant wintry photo.
